Contrary to popular belief, Coffee did not originate in Italy and was prominent in Ethiopia & Yemen before arriving in Europe.

However, after reaching the Venetian shores through well used trading routes in the 16th century, coffee was embedded in Italian culture with new and unique brewing methods captured over time.

Finally in 1901, Luigi Bezzera created the Espresso Machine and established the dark roast, high-pressure technique which is the foundation for some of the world’s favourite beverages.
